FENStatS Funding Calls for 2026 Now Open
FENStatS is pleased to announce the launch of two 2026 funding initiatives aimed at enhancing collaboration among members and promoting their participation in the European statistical community.
The funding programmes reflect FENStatS’ strategic priorities for 2026, fostering scientific cooperation among members and providing opportunities for Young Statisticians across Europe. For further details, please refer to this document.
- Funding for National Statistical Societies Organising FENStatS Sessions.
This initiative supports National Statistical Societies that organise FENStatS-dedicated sessions at national meetings or international conferences. Eligible societies may apply for up to €2,000 in support of travel costs, with a total of €6,000 available for 2026.
Sessions must involve participants from more than two National Statistical Societies in different countries and focus on a specific topic. Proposals supporting participation in the FENStatS Conference in Rome in June 2026 will receive priority consideration.
Applications should include a cover letter detailing the session and budget, along with an abstract of the planned contribution.
Application deadline: 1 February 2026 - Travel Grants for Young Statisticians
To support emerging researchers from smaller societies in Eastern or Southern Europe, FENStatS will award €1,000 in travel grants to enable participation in international conferences.
Applicants must be members of a FENStatS-affiliated society, have an accepted oral presentation, and demonstrate academic excellence and financial contribution. Priority will be given to PhD students and those presenting at the Rome 2026 conference.
Submissions should include a motivation letter, CV, evidence of grades/awards, confirmation of membership, and the abstract submitted to the target conference.
