Summer school in futures studies: data-driven & statistical approaches
The Summer School in Futures Studies: Data-Driven & Statistical Approaches offers an intensive three-day introduction to the theories, methods, and practical tools used to explore and anticipate possible futures. The programme combines conceptual foundations with hands-on methodological training, guiding participants through the entire anticipatory process—from horizon scanning and the identification of key drivers to Delphi-based investigations, data clustering, and scenario development.
Participants are expected to have a basic understanding of statistical concepts and an interest in futures studies or strategic analysis. No advanced technical skills are required, but familiarity with data interpretation or simple analytical tools is recommended.

GRASPA 2027
GRASPA is the biennial conference of the Italian research group for Environmental Statistics GRASPA-SIS and the major event on Environmental Statistics in Italy.
The event will be held on the 27-28 May 2027 in Venice at the Department of Environmental Sciences, Informatics and Statistics of Ca’ Foscari University of Venice.
A call for proposals for solicited sessions is open. Proposals to organize a solicited session at GRASPA 2027 should be submitted by 9 Oct 2026. Sessions should include three speakers. The scientific committee will choose the most interesting proposals for the conference by the end of October 2026.

Popdays 2027
The Italian Association for Population Studies (SIS-AISP) cordially invites submissions to the 16th edition of Giornate di Studio sulla Popolazione – Popdays 2027, to be held in Trento from 9 to 11 June 2027.
Submissions should be made to one of the conference themes: Ageing and intergenerational relations, Economy, human capital, and labour market, Environment and sustainability, Data and methods, Families and households, Fertility, Health, morbidity and wellbeing, Historical demography, Internal migration, depopulation and inner areas, International migrations and migrant populations, Life courses, Mortality and longevity, Policy issues, Posters.
