Europe Day is a day to celebrate peace and unity throughout Europe. It marks the anniversary of the historic Schuman Declaration in 1950, in which he laid out his idea for a new form of cooperation in Europe. Over the years, Europe Day has evolved into a symbol of European integration and solidarity.
