About the Society
Founded in 1986, the Spanish Biostatistics Society (SEB) is the Spanish region of the International Biometric Society (IBS). The SEB aims to promote, drive and disseminate the development and application of statistical and mathematical methods in Biology, Medicine, Psychology, Pharmacology, Agriculture and other related sciences related to living beings.
Currently, the SEB is structured into five scientific areas:
- Agriculture
- Biology
- Bioinformatics
- Medicine
- Psychology
Every two years, the SEB holds a Biometrics Conference to connect and promote communication between the different Spanish researchers and research groups. The SEB also organizes, sponsors or supports courses, seminars and, in general, any event that may be of interest to the development of Biometrics.
