News from the Society

On February 29, 2024, at the Romanian Statistical Society, the book "Romania 2023 - the economic state after 33 years of free market" was launched, Author Prof. Constantin Anghelache PhD – First Vice-President of the Romanian Statistical Society. 

On April 25, 2024 and May 30, 2024, the OCTAV ONICESCU National Scientific Seminar on Statistics took place, during which topics of interest for statistical theory and practice were presented. The most valuable communications were published in the Supplement of the Romanian Statistical Journal. Another seminar will be held on June 27, 2024 and in the last week of July 2024.

June 17, 2024, marks the 87th anniversary of the founding of the Romanian Statistical Society.

In the third quarter of 2024, on July 4, 2024, the festive event organized on the occasion of the 87th anniversary of the creation of the Romanian Statistical Society by Dimitrie Gusti took place, during which speeches were given by personalities of statistical life from Romania. The most valuable communications presented at the ""OCTAV ONICESCU"" National Scientific Seminar on Statistics were published in the Supplement of the Romanian Statistics Review no. 7/2024 and no. 8/2024.

Between October and December 2024, in the last week of each month, the "OCTAV ONICESCU" National Scientific Seminar on Statistics will be organized, during which topics of interest for statistical theory and practice will be presented. The most valuable communications will be published in the Supplement of the Romanian Statistical Review.
