FENStats is managed by a new team. Congratulations to Jean-Michel Poggi, a new FENStatS President!
In the online elections held electronically through a secure platform a total of 21 national statistical societies expressed their full support to
Jean-Michel Poggy as President,
Michel Vaillant as Secretary General,
Corrado Crocetta as Treasurer.
In accordance with FENStatS statutes, former President Maria Dolores (Lola) Ugarte will continue as Vice-President, and Martin Boďa will serve as Website Manager.

The new presidency will serve until September 2026 and will build on the work of the previous presidency of Lola Ugarte. The new presidency intends to consolidate, develop and deepen the legacy. Without going into the details of specific actions to be taken, a few points that will help shape FENStatS' future strategy are as follows:
▶ securing joint meeting with the national statistical societies,
▶ promoting the FENStatS book series through joint meetings,
▶ continuing to organise ERC seminars to increase the number of grantees in statistics,
▶ organising joint events with international entities,
▶ strengthening relations between FENStatS and the Young Statisticians Sections,
▶ further developing the accreditation system,
▶ reinforcing training activities through deeper connections with ECAS,
▶ strengthening FENStatS' financial resources, and
▶ amplifying the voice of the Policy and Awareness-Raising Committee (PARC) aiming to monitor threats to statistical independence, respond to consultations, and raise the visibility of statisticians in policy debates.
